From all of Lisa Congdon's wonderful creations (including paintings, patterns and handlettering) it's these Nordic inspired illustrations I was drawn to the most. I love the combination of soft, modest lines and lively colors & patterns. Would make room for them on my wall any time!
Lisa Congdon lives and works in Oakland, California. She is a fulltime illustrator and author of A Collection a Day, Whatever You Are, Be a Good One and Art Inc. She is also the creator and writer of the super-inspiring blog called Today is Going to be Awesome and has an Esty shop where you can purchase many of her products. Oh boy, I love everything about these beautiful, kind of recognizable yet undefinable figures of visual delight. Soft colors, delicate structures, flowers, birds and other natural elements that together form perfect, harmonious images that are hard to look away from.
They are collages by Rhode Island-based artist Jenny Brown, who uses paper & ink as main materials for her works. Jenny earned her MFA at the School of Visual Arts in New York in 2005 and since then, she has participated in numerous solo- and group exhibitions.

MF Hussain Paintings : India's best known 'art maestro' Maqbool Fida Husain popular know as MF Hussain is one of India's most charmistic artist who had redefined art to a great extent. According to the Forbes magazine he was "Picasso of India" for his wide repertoire of works of art. M F Hussain, the artist who earned fame and controversy over his work, they are blend of cubism and classical Indian styles that fetches millions of dollars on international art markets. His themes—usually treated in series—include topics as diverse as Mohandas K. Gandhi, Mother Teresa, the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, the British raj, and motifs of Indian urban and rural life. One of the most celebrated and internationally recognized Indian artists of the 20th century, he also received recognition as a printmaker, photographer, and filmmaker. Husain was born into a Muslim family on 17 September 1915 in Pandharpur, Maharashtra to a Sulaymani Bohra family who trace their roots back to Gujarat within the last 200 years, and then originally to Yemen. Primarily self-taught, Mf Hussain painted cinema posters in Mumbai early in his career. To earn extra money, he worked for a toy company designing and building toys.
